Born and raised in Southern California. Went to college at Cal Poly Pomona (1988 BS, Geology), and graduate school at the University of Arizona (1991 MS, Planetary Geology and Remote Sensing). Worked on the Mars Observer mission at Ariz. St. University from 1992-'94 and Mars Global Surveyor from '94-'95. Came to the Johnson Space Center in 1995 as a flight controller in ISS Operations Planning. In 2003 I moved to Robotics flight control and played a lead role in the post-Columbia return to flight effort leading up to STS-114. In 2005 I joined NASA proper (civil servant) working in Imagery Integration within the Shuttle Program Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) office. From 2011-12 I worked in the JSC Engineering Directorate doing conceptual mission planning and space system architecture development. In 2012 I moved to Astromaterials Research and Exploration Science (ARES) at JSC as an exploration group lead and then as the Imagery Integration lead for the Orion program. I am currently the Lead for Orion imagery, chair the Orion Imagery Working Group, and am responsible for overseeing the very large and complex effort to coordinate and properly integrate the plans, requirements, and operations for the Orion Imagery System. Overall I have a broad background and am able to speak the multiple languages of science, engineering, mission operations, and program integration. I especially enjoy communicating the NASA mission to the public and inspiring the next generation to study math, science, and engineering to carry on the business of exploring the solar system.

Megan Sip grew up on a farm in northern Minnesota and earned her BS in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, followed by an MS in Systems Engineering from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

She has spent the majority of her career at NASA, where she began in rendezvous design and operations before transitioning into roles integrating across multiple technical disciplines. Along the way, she took a “side quest” into the Oil & Gas industry, working to resolve field failures on oil rigs across global operations.

Today, Megan serves as the Orion Test & Verification Lead, where she defines the overall strategy for testing and verifying the entire vehicle, including its hardware, software, and the integration of the two, helping ensure Orion can fly successfully and safely so we can all enjoy Dave’s cool images.

Jennifer Clevenger graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Bioengineering. She spent time as a forensic engineer (and crash test dummy!) before she began her NASA career in 1998. Jennifer held a variety of roles within Mission Operations at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX, supporting Space Shuttle missions and later contributing to the early development of commercial spaceflight operations. After several years exploring leadership opportunities outside NASA, she returned to human spaceflight in 2021, supporting the Artemis I mission and then serving as an operations liaison with NASA's International Partners during real-time International Space Station (ISS) mission operations from Moscow, Russia. In 2024, Jennifer became the Flight Activities Officer (FAO) Group Lead, where she oversees mission operations integration and guides the team responsible for developing the Flight Plan the astronauts and Mission Control team follow during Artemis missions. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, especially on trips to Disney World, and is an active member of The Players Theatre Company where she performs in musicals and serves on the Board of Directors.
