all walks of life to join us at auditions for equal opportunity consideration.

What to expect: Please bring a headshot and resume (if you have one) and prepare a 1-2 minute monologue (recommended, not required). Cold reads will be done from the script.

Rehearsals: tentatively beginning May 5th, running Monday-Thursday in the evenings. Saturday afternoon rehearsals will be added in June.
Synopsis: Called one of the most sophisticated, entertaining plays ever written, Noel Coward’s “Private Lives” is a 1930s comedy of manners. A divorced couple who, while honeymooning with their new spouses, discover that they are staying in adjacent rooms at the same hotel. Despite a perpetually stormy relationship, they realize that they still have feelings for each other. ​

Characters:
​
Sibyl Chase: An attractive first-time bride who feels very threatened by her new husband’s first wife, Amanda.
​
Elyot Chase: Sibyl’s rich and handsome new husband who was formerly married to Amanda. He has a quick and cutting wit that he wields throughout the play.
​
Amanda Prynne: A beautiful second-time bride (she was formerly married to Elyot, and is now married to Victor) with a fiery temper and a tendency toward impulsive behavior.
​
Victor Prynne: Amanda’s second husband, who is a few years older than Elyot, is very pleased to describe himself as “normal.”
​
Louise: A French maid.
​
Characters will need to speak with Received Pronunciation (i.e., BBC News British accent)
